This is a very well made Poodle Skirt. The skirt is one piece with no seams which makes the skirt hang beautifully. There is enough room under the black poodle so if you need to trim off a little length it is very easy to do. This item lists as an “Adult” item but my daughter who is 11 did great in the size I purchased for her. I just shortened the skirt just a little bit so you could see the petticoat when she walked. I was very impressed and for the price this is a quality garment. I put the 50s Petticoat Crinoline Underskirt, another high quality item, with the skirt and it looked GREAT!

It’s beautifully made and I’m sure it will hold up throughout the event I’ll be wearing it to soon. It’s a little on the heavy side as the material is felt (not sure the skirts in the 50’s were made of the same material). I’ve tried it on with the petticoat I already had from another event and it looked great. I bought the size I normally wear (1X) and it fit great. The elastic in the waist helps a lot.

First of all, there is a LOT of skirt! If I grasp the sides and spread it out while I have it on, my arms end up straight out to display the whole skirt. The fabric is nice, not cheesy at all. The elastic waist band is firm enough to hold the skirt in place, but has just enough give to stretch when you’re putting it on. I bought it for a dance performance and haven’t really worn it yet, but the try-on was encouraging. The only think I don’t like is you have to hand wash and line dry it.
